    Less expensive than the near competitor and looks as nice

    No difference from the older Dixons and other similar clamps I have.

    It has no springs so it's just a matter of lubing it regularly, and this will last a very long time.
    It will hold the thicker Tama rods, but not the regular percussion rods like Meinls.
    This clamp is not meant to hold rods but it's good to know.

    This surprised me a bit - very sturdy and hefty, it's not messing around. Not the prettiest around, but will do (any) job. If you don't have the money to throw around this is the clamp for you.

    In lieu with other great and sturdy, but affordable Millenium hardware, it goes to show that paying more is (sometimes) paying for the brand name.
